The original clumsy maid

I drew this a long time ago, but I got reminded of it because I saw a new Amelia Bedelia book at the store, and she was a little kid, not a maid, and I don't think she misunderstood common phrases with wacky results. I will have to investigate further.

PS In case you didn't know, it is an edit of a real book cover, I didn't do the whole thing.
